Keynote by SF Walker “Asperger syndrome in adulthood; our kids are growing up”
SF, who is originally from Toronto, works at the Pacific Autism Family Network is the Program Manager and Chair for Voices of Autism as well as Facilitator for the EmploymentWorks Canada program. She has a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Teaching from Missouri State University. SF is the Co-Founder of Coach Family Services, a volunteer based information sharing network whose projects include support groups, public speaking events, and disability/family support. SF proudly identifies as having Asperger Syndrome.

MayDay Club Youth Choir:
The Mayday Club Youth Choir for Neurodiversity is a professional children’s choir that was started in 2016 by a UBC student diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, as a means to combat the stigmas and isolation that individuals who are ‘different’ often encounter.

Nicky Waring: "Teaching your child the skills to stay safe & have healthy relationships"
The presentation introduces the importance of teaching about sexuality/sexual health in the context of all the skills needed for all personal relationships and general health & well-being. Nicky Waring is a certified sexual health educator, certified elementary school teacher and mother. She has extensive experience working with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and people with developmental disabilities. Nicky is passionate about empowering people of all ages and abilities to make informed choices about their own bodies through sex positive, inclusive education that promotes confidence, healthy body-image and self-esteem.

PATH – Planned Alternatives to Tomorrow with Hope.  
Please join Denise Abegg and Eilidh Duncan from the Richmond Society for Community Living share this valuable life planning tool with you.  Self-advocate Teaghan Collins who will share his actual PATH with you all will join them.
